Bulk Blown Delivery
Bulk blown deliveries are made using only our own state of the art delivery tankers which are operated by fully trained and experienced drivers. These vehicles come equipped with sophisticated control valve systems, onboard weighing systems, and a dust extraction system to ensure that pellets are delivered intact and with a minimum of dust.
On arrival at the delivery site a checklist is completed to ensure that the store can accept the pellets, and that delivery can be made in a safe manner. Our delivery vehicles deliver the fuel at below 1 bar of pressure to minimise the stress on the pellet. Where practical an extraction system is used to aspirate dust from inside the pellet store into an externally placed ‘sock’.
A sample of the pellets is taken at the time of delivery and will be retained for a minimum of 9 months as required under ENPlus guidelines. This sample will be available for testing should there be an issue with the quality of the pellets following delivery.
Bagged wood pellets are sent to CPL’s National Distribution Centre (NDC) for onward dispatch to the customer. A bag from every delivery into the NDC will be taken, labelled, and stored for 9 months so that it is available for testing should there be an issue with the quality of the pellets following delivery.
Full pallet loads of wood pellets are delivered either directly from our National Distribution Centre or direct from a production or storage site within out supply chain. These bags are subject to the same strict quality guidelines as our bulk blown deliveries. For smaller bag deliveries our local depot based drivers will make the deliveries directly to your address.
