No reduction in RHI Biomass Tariffs

The Department of Energy and Climate change (DECC) has announced the quarterly projected RHI spend as of 21st January 2014. The announcement sees no reduction to the current RHI tariffs of small, medium or large biomass installations.

The quarterly statistics show that small biomass (below 200kWth) projected spend will remain below the 50% trigger of £83m. The report also shows that medium biomass (200kWth-1mWth) have a lower forecasted spend than published last quarter.   This is due to increased meter reading and less heat demand over the mild winter.
